Dana Haddad lives and breathes education. For over twenty years, she has served as a teacher, an admissions officer, and an educational consultant in New York City. As the founder and CEO of New York Admissions, she has helped families in the U.S. and overseas find the perfect private schools for their children. Dana’s deep knowledge of the educational landscape makes her an invaluable asset to parents worldwide.
Dana’s skill lies in knowing how to showcase each student in the best light possible. She is a deft, experienced editor with an eye for the perfect anecdote and story that makes each student unique. Over the years, Dana has worked with hundreds of parents and students to craft essays, personal statements, thank you notes, and more. Dana is committed to helping students write their way into the college of their dreams. It is that commitment that led to the creation of New York Essay Edge.

Naushad Mehta
Naushad Mehta is an accomplished journalist, writer, editor, and entrepreneur. She is an expert in working with young people—helping them clarify their thinking to produce clear, coherent writing.
Naushad is passionate about the college essay and guides students through the process with patience and compassion. With an in-depth knowledge of what U.S. college admissions officers are looking for, she has helped students from the U.S. and abroad gain admission to their top choice colleges. To serve even more students, Naushad joined forces with long-time educator Dana Haddad to create New York Essay Edge.
Educated in India and the U.S., Naushad holds a B.A. in English and Philosophy, as well as a Master’s degree in Journalism from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. She worked for ten years as a reporter and correspondent for TIME Magazine in New York. All three of her children attended their first-choice colleges, and yes, she helped all three with their essays.
